Most clothing and shoe items are available for purchase at the Studio. All students are required to wear appropriate dance attire & shoes to class. Shoes worn outside are not permitted on the dance floors of any DP studio (including Hip Hop street shoes). Dangling jewelry, gum and food are not permitted in class. Students who do not have hair done appropriately or adhere to the class dress code will be excused from class. |

  Jazz, Ballet, Tap - Ages 6 & under Tiny Tutus (age 3) Girls: Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes. Short dance skirts are optional. Hair should be secured away from face with rubber band or clip. Boys: White short sleeve T-shirt, black sweats or pants, black leather ballet shoes with white cotton socks Pre-Dance (age 4-5) Girls: Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes and black patent leather tap shoe with elastic ties. Short skirts are optional, tutus are not allowed. Hair should be secured away from face with rubber band or clip. Boys: White short sleeve T-shirt, black sweats or pants, black leather ballet shoes and black lace up tap shoes. Dance Combo with Tumbling (age 5-6) Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes and black slip on style jazz shoes (no laces) are required. Skirts may not be attached to leotard. Black jazz pants for jazz portion of class are recommended. Hair must be secured away from face with rubber band or clip. Dance Combo with Tap (age 5-6) Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes and black patent leather tap shoes with elastic ties. Skirts may not be attached to leotard. Black jazz pants and black slip on style jazz shoes (no laces) for jazz portion of class are recommended. Hair must be secured away from face with rubber band or clip. Jazz Elementary Jazz 1 & Jazz 2 (ages 6-11) Any solid color Leotard or form fitting camisole/tank top with black jazz capri pants/leggings or boy cut dance shorts. Long pants, gauchos, sweats, baggy pants or jeans are NOT allowed. Black leather split-sole, slip on style jazz shoes (no laces) are REQUIRED. Foot thongs are not permitted in jazz class. Hair must be secured off of face into a ponytail or bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Jazz 3 & 4 (ages 10-13) Any solid color leotard or form fitting camisole/tank top. Black jazz capri length pants/leggings or boy cut dance briefs/shorts. Black leather split -sole slip on style jazz shoes (no laces) are now REQUIRED. Foot thongs, Footundeez, Dance Paws, etc. will no longer be allowed for Jazz class. No sweats or jeans. Hair must be secured off of face into a ponytail or bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Jazz 5 (ages 14 & up) Any style form fitting top OR crop top (loose fitting T'-shirts are not allowed) Jazz/yoga capri length pants/leggings or "boy" shorts. Bare feet or black leather split-sole slip-on style jazz shoes (no laces). Tap Elementary Tap 1 (age 6-9) Solid colored leotard (any style), with short dance skirt, jazz capri pants/leggings or dance boy cut shorts (NO long pants, gauchos, sweats, baggy pants or jeans are allowed). Black patent leather lace up tap shoes worn with tights or thin socks. Hair must be secured off of face into a ponytail or bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Tap 2-3, 4/5 (age 8-18) Solid colored leotard (any style) or form fitting camisole top, with jazz capri pants/leggings or dance shorts (NO long pants, gauchos, sweats, baggy pants or jeans are allowed). Black leather oxford style lace up tap shoes worn with tights or thin socks. Hair must be secured off of face into a ponytail or bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Ballet Elementary Ballet 1 & Ballet 2 (ages 6-11) Black leotard, pink tights, pink leather split-sole ballet shoes. Hair must be secured off face. Short dance skirts are allowed. Lower body must not be hidden under jazz pants or baggy sweats to help teacher evaluate proper alignment and technique. Short hair should be pulled back. Medium length hair should be secured into a ponytail and long hair pulled into a bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Ballet 3 (ages 10-12) Any solid color leotard, pink tights, pink leather split-sole ballet shoes. Hair must be secured off face. Shorter hair should be pulled back. Medium length hair should be secured into a ponytail and long hair pulled into a bun. Students who do not have hair done appropriately will be excused from class. Ballet 4 & 5 (ages 12-18) Split sole BLOCH leather OR canvas ballet shoes. Solid colored leotard w/tights or form fitting camisole/tank top with boy cut dance briefs or shorts. Sweats, jeans and long jazz pants are NOT allowed. Pointe shoes requirements are at the recommendation of the teacher and are assessed on an individual basis. Hair must be secured away from face or you will be excused from class. Lyrical Lyrical: All levels (ages 9-18) Form fitted shirt or solid leotard with boy cut dance briefs or shorts. Footless tights may be worn under shorts. Lower body should not be hidden under jazz pants or baggy sweats to help teacher evaluate proper alignment and technique. Jazz shoes or dance paws/foot thongs are required for class. NOTE: Students enrolled in Lyrical, must also be enrolled in ballet classes. Turns & Leaps Turns & Leaps: All levels (ages 8-18) Form fitted shirt or solid leotard with boy cut dance briefs or shorts. Footless tights may be worn under shorts. Lower body should not be hidden under jazz pants or baggy sweats to help teacher evaluate proper alignment and technique. Split sole, leather jazz shoes are REQUIRED for this technique class. Hip Hop Hip Hop: Intro level, 1, 2 & 3 (ages 6-12) Athletic wear that allows freedom of movement (sweats, dance capri pants/leggings) Short sleeved shirts or tank tops are recommended. Shoes: clean, non-marking sneakers such as Skechers or Reebok. Shoes must NOT be worn outside of studio. (Shoes worn outside are not permitted on the dance floors of any DP studio). Shorts are allowed only during summer session (no cut offs). Jeans are not permitted. Hip Hop 4 & 5 (ages 12-18) Athletic wear that allows freedom of movement (shorts with boy briefs underneath, dance capri sweats, etc.) Short sleeved shirts or tank tops are recommended.
